• Event/Date: Adult Summer Reading at the Moscow Public Library / June 6 - August 8

    Adult patrons of the Moscow Public Library are invited to participate in an Adult Summer Reading Program. Registration is ongoing, and participants will have until August 8 to complete up to four reading challenges to be entered in a drawing for prizes. Reading challenges include:
    • A Galaxy of Genres, a genre reading challenge
    • An Alternate Universe, a sci-fi and fantasy author reading challenge
    • Under the Same Stars, a non-western sci-fi and fantasy reading challenge
    • Shooting Stars, a biography reading challenge

    Complementary July events at the Moscow Public Library include:
     
    • Book Art: Fairies on Thursday, July 11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Participants will create a take-home craft using old books.
    • Intro to HAM Radio with the Do Something Amateur Radio Club on Thursday, July 18 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Participants will learn what HAM radio is, where it's still used, how it can be useful for this area, and about different radios. Presentation followed by a Q&A session, and testing for anyone who might be interested in becoming a HAM. Study guides and testing sign up can be found at HamStudy.org.
