    Art at the Co-op
    The Moscow Food Co-op welcome local artist Michael Sanchez of Viola, Idaho who will display his work in the Co-op’s deli gallery. The opening reception is 5–6:30 p.m., Friday, November 8. The show will run through Wednesday, December 11. Originally from California, Michael has made the Palouse his home. He and his family enjoy exploring the countryside, and he tries to capture its essence in his artwork. Michael works at Washington State University, teaching landscape architecture as well as a foundational drawing class in the School of Design and Construction.

    Mamas + Papas of the Palouse
    Relax and refresh with stretching exercises designed to increase flexibility and foster mindfulness from 9:30-11 a.m., on Monday, November 4 at The Uma Center, 414 S. Jefferson in Moscow. Kids can participate too!
    The Moscow Food Co-op has designed several events and activities with families with children in mind. The Co-op is committed to creating space and time for growing families on the Palouse. The Mamas + Papas of the Palouse is group for expecting parents and parents with kids up to two years old. Meet for conversation and informal talks by experienced parents and experts.     Co-op Kids
    Children and their caregivers are welcome for the following Co-op Kids activities. Co-op Kids meets weekly and all events are all free, with snacks and materials donated by the Moscow Food Co-op. Co-op Kids is held every Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. in the Moscow Food Co-op deli seating area unless otherwise noted.

    Good Food Book Club
    The Co-op’s Good Food Book Club will meet at 4 p.m., Sunday December 1 at a private residence (email bookclub@moscowfood.coop for directions) to discuss “Julie & Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously” by Julie Power and watch the movie “Julie & Julia.” There will also be a potluck inspired by this month’s memoir.  The book is available at BookPeople where Co-op owners receive 15 percent discount on the cost of the Good Food Book Club book.
