On May 21, 2019, citizens of Moscow will be asked to vote on a bond measure for the City of Moscow. The election is being held to ask citizens to approve or deny the City’s taking on debt to fund a new police station facility and to re-purpose the current station and Paul Mann Building. Together these projects will provide a modern and efficient police services facility for the community and will address additional City space needs.

Several options have been developed to provide information on the bond including the history of the need, issues and challenges the City faces, the proposed projects, costs and impacts to tax payers, and more. This information can be found on the City’s website at www.ci.moscow.id.us.

In addition, the City will be hosting a series of hour-long open houses at the current police facility throughout April and May.  These events are open to the public and do not required an RSVP. The open house schedule is as follows:

    • Wednesdays, April 10 through May 15 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
    • Saturdays, May 4 through May 18: two sessions daily starting 8:00am and 9:00am

Each open house will include an overview of the details of the bond, a tour of the current facility, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the project, facility and more.

To learn more about the proposed bond, please join us for one of the scheduled open houses or visit the City’s website at www.ci.moscow.id.us. Presentations or tours may also be requested at any time by calling the City of Moscow directly at 208-883-7080.
