    The Best Western Plus University Inn is seeking a Director of Catering and Conference Services to add to our team. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop an outstanding team while providing our guests with the exceptional quality and service we aspire for all our events.

    Job Description:
    Our Catering Director will work closely with our clients to ascertain the necessary details for creating their ideal events, actively seek new business, assist in creating a budget and work to achieve this goal, and work closely with all departments to ensure a great experience for all of our clientele. Responsibilities also include demonstrating exceptional leadership skills by helping to recruit, train and mentor our staff while helping to create a safe, effective and enjoyable work environment. Additionally, the Catering Director is expected to attend all larger events (100+ guests) and higher profile events.

    Requirements:
    The perfect candidate must be passionate about, and thrive on, the development and mentoring of others. Trust, honesty, integrity and a true passion for customer satisfaction is another requirement.

    Previous hotel banquet experience is preferred.
    2+ years of experience in sales and/or event planning preferred.
