The Festival of Trees began in 1985 as Evergreenfest, an outdoor tree auction held in the parking lot of Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus, and has grown to become one of the Lewis-Clark Valley’s most popular holiday events. This annual tradition brings together thousands of visitors each year.
In 2018, generous community members at the Festival of Trees helped gross just over $230,000 to help meet the rising cost of healthcare needs for patients served by Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus. The Raise the Paddle call to action alone, brought in over $42,000 to support the purchase of Tru-D SmartUVC, a germ eliminating UV disinfection robot. Raise the Paddle provides the opportunity to raise funds each year on a specific hospital focused need. This year, the Raise the Paddle goal is focused on supporting the addition of eight Intellivue Mx400 Phillips monitors for the Recovery Unit. These monitors will cost $150,000.
“We are incredibly excited to celebrate our largest annual fundraiser with the community the weekend before Thanksgiving,” said D’Lynn Ottmar, Chief Development Officer for the Tri-State Hospital Foundation. “It’s incredible how each year, so many individuals come together to support our only non-for-profit community owned hospital in the Lewis-Clark Valley.”
