When Dr. Fredrick Church donated his home to Latah County, he did so with the expressed hope that it would serve as a gathering place for curious minds. In that spirit, Latah County Historical Society presents "The Salon," a fun and enriching evening of author readings and mini-lessons at the historic McConnell Mansion. Be entertained by authors Michael McGriff, Daniel Orozco, and Judy Sobeloff, who will read from original works. Be educated by Aaron from Moscow Brewing Company, who will offer a mini-lesson on beer tasting (samples included). Be enlightened by the Ukulele Players of the Palouse, who will offer a short ukulele playing lesson. And finally, be excited by Tara Lew of Tara Lew Interiors, who will offer a brief tutorial on how to create Victorian-inspired hair art! This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call (208) 882-1004.
