The Moscow Farmers Market is a popular Moscow tradition that was established in 1976. The Saturday morning event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts.
The Moscow Farmers Market takes place on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow. It is held each Saturday, May through October, from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Local musicians perform from 9:30am to 1:00pm.
The programming for this week's Farmer's Market is as follows:
Live Performances. The Moscow Farmers Market hosts nearly four dozen scheduled concerts in Friendship Square each year, and features many talented local entertainers. The featured entertainment this Saturday is:
(9:00 – 10:00 a.m.) Ken Clark
(10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) Arvid Lundin and the Deep Roots
Where's Waldo at the Moscow Farmers Market. Waldo, the iconic man in the red and white striped shirt will be visiting the Moscow Farmers Market during the month of July. Participants may pick-up a Where’s Waldo Passport at the City of Moscow Information Tent or BookPeople of Moscow. Participants turn in their passports to BookPeople of Moscow at the end of the month for a chance to win prizes from participating locations.
City of Moscow Commissions. Citizen based City Commissions will be featured at the Market throughout the season to share information on any special programs. This week will feature the Palouse Basin Aquifer Committee.
Bell Brigade. Bell Brigade provides an opportunity for local youth groups, clubs, and organizations to ring the opening and closing market bells. Groups performing this community service are eligible to host an information tent at the market the day they participate in the Bell Brigade.
