The Moscow Farmers Market is a popular Moscow tradition that was established in 1976. The Saturday morning event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts.
The Moscow Farmers Market takes place on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow. It is held each Saturday, May through October, from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Local musicians perform from 9:30am to 1:00pm.

Shop the Market with Backyard Harvest: Patrons receiving EBT or SNAP benefits are encouraged to visit the Backyard Harvest tent to participate in our Shop The Market program. Located by the clock and fountain in Friendship Square, patrons receive tokens to purchase fresh produce and other eligible items from vendors enrolled with this program.
WIC and SFMNP: Select Moscow Farmers Market vendors accept State of Washington WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) checks. Visit the City of Moscow Information tent to find out which vendors participate in this program and how to shop.
Bicycle Benefits: In celebration of National Bike Month, the Market has rolled out a new incentive program Bicycle Benefits. Shoppers may purchase a Bicycle Benefit sticker for $5 at the Information Tent. Bike to the Market each week to receive an incentive. Show the sticker on your helmet to City Staff at the Information Tent and earn a $2 wooden token. Tokens may be used to purchase from Market Vendors.
Live Performances. The Moscow Farmers Market hosts nearly four dozen scheduled concerts in Friendship Square each year, and features many talented local entertainers. The featured entertainment this Saturday is:

(10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) Bare Wires
City of Moscow Commissions. Citizen based City Commissions will be featured at the Market throughout the season to share information on any special programs. This week will feature the Farmers Market Commission and the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Bell Brigade. As a part of the upcoming 2019 season, the Moscow Farmers Market is introducing the Bell Brigade program. Bell Brigade will provide an opportunity for local youth groups, clubs, and organizations to ring the opening and closing market bells. Groups performing this community service are eligible to host an information tent at the market the day they participate in the Bell Brigade. This week will feature the Surf Soccer Club.
University of Idaho. University of Idaho booths, featuring College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Master Gardeners, and Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, will be located on 5th Street throughout the 2019 season with unique family friendly programming for all ages.
The Moscow Farmers Market loves all furry companions, but only Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service animals are permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. Emotional support animals are not covered by the ADA and are not permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. For health and safety reasons, we ask that all pets and non-ADA service animals limit their visit to the Market and if need be may utilize the pet-friendly sidewalks adjacent to Main Street and Fifth Street.
