    Event Description:
    Dahmen Barn, is offering a workshop where the student may specify days and times for the 32 hours of instruction in building a custom fishing rod.  The class is designed to allow the student to begin with the very basic concepts of custom rod building and advance over time to master an array of skills and techniques that will provide the student with the expertise to produce high performance, high quality fishing rods for fun or profit.  The student must consult with instructor before the class begins to determine the type of rod they want to build so the components can be ordered.  The cost for the instruction is $120, plus the student purchases the rod parts through Joe.  More information about Joe and his business as well as a detailed list of tasks included in the instruction may be found on the class listing at www.artisanbarn.org.  Registrations may be made from the website’s class listing or by calling 509-229-3414.
     
    Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit creativity center in Uniontown on highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence.  The facility is fully handicap accessible and has no daily admission fee.  Winter hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.  Information:  www.artisanbarn.org or 509-229-3414.
