Please join us for an evening in the parlor of Moscow's historic McConnell Mansion and delight in the poetry of Martin F. Tupper. Experience a creative acoustic performance of the popular Nineteenth Century social pastime. Works by an obscure poet of the Romantic Era, Martin F. Tupper, will be interpreted by regional artists Sera Hatchett, Adrian Workman, Ted Kelchner, and Andria Marcussen. Tupper was a British poet whose life spanned most of the 19th century. At the height of his career in the mid-1800s, he sold nearly a million copies of his work in the United States. By the time of his death in 1889, however, he had largely been forgotten. The evening's program will cast a light on this treasure of a by-gone era. Light refreshments will be served as this free, public event.
